Photo Op

It's a big milestone, so it was worth taking the plane out of the hanger and putting together the pieces for a picture.

Here's the fuselage with the front wing spars. The horizontal Stabalizer and the Vertical stabalized are complete as well, but the wind was too high to put them on.

Mounting Front Spars

We mounted the front spars today. What a great feeling to be able to have a tail, and wing spars. It's starting to look like an airplane! 3.7 degrees, or 5" difference between bottom inner and bottom outer spar.

Final Finish on Outer Rear spars

I got my helper, Cali, to help finish the spars

Rear Outer wing spars

Varnished twice and ready to close.

Working at home

I want to get the rear Spars finished before the weather is too cold, so I decided to take home everything I need to finish up the rear Outer wing spars

Rear Outer Wing Spars

The weather is getting cold, so I was anxious to finish up everything that needs glueing. If your working with T-88 and it's a structural part, it's a good idea to only glue at or above 70 degrees

Catchup on posts

I'm way behind in posting pictures. The next few entries are a months worth of work.

Here is the final coat of paint on the Front Wing Attach Fittings (WAFs).
